TELEGRAPHIC NEWS.
At Masterfcon on Sunday afternoon two men, named Thomas Connolly and Wm. Burke, were riding in a trap. The horse bolted and Burke was thrown out and seriously injured. Connolly jumped out and fell on bis head and died in three quarters of an hoar from concussion of the brain.
The Stratford Relief Committee has decided to divide the settlers who are given relief into three classes: The first contains those deemed beet able to bear losses ; second, those to whom assistance is necessary to enable them to get through the winter, hut who are not absolutely destitute ; the third class, those who are absolutely destitute, or would soon become so, but for the assistance of the fund. The distribution will bo made in building or fencing material. The first class receive 4 or 5 shillings in the £, on amount of assessment of loss; second class 6s 8d to 7s 6d in the £ ; and third in full.
