GERALDINE LITERARY INSTITUTE.

A special meeting of the Committee of the above was held on Tuesday evening. Present—Mr J. Cunningham (in the chair), and Messrs Westropp, Willoughby, Hardcastle, Mundell, C. E. Sherratt, and the Secretary, Mr J. S. Waite.

MINUTES. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

iXTSRATION or THX ROOMS,

Mr Hardcastle, ou behalf of the subcommittee appointed at the previous meeting, reported that the work of removing the shelving from the present Library to the Committee Room could be done at a cost of £2 10s, a tender having been given for this amount.

It was resolved, on the motion sf Mr Westropp seconded by Mr Willoughby - “That the work as recommended by the aub-Coimnitteo be done for the price stated, £2 10s,” A Bub-Committee consisting of Messrs Hardcastle, Sherratt and the Secretary were appointed to see the work carried out.

THE INCOME.

A conversational discussion took place as to the income of the Institute, and it was resolved on the motion of Mr Cunningham, seconded by Mr Willoughby—- “ That a subcommittee consisting of Messrs Mundell, Sherratt, the Secretary and the mover be appointed to make arrangements for a concert to be held next month.”

This being all the business the meeting terminated with a vote of thanks to the Chairman.
