London, Jan. 26. There ir. im change to report, in the breadstuff's or .adow market. Wool—At to-day’s auctions 11,700 bales were offered, the market being quiet. Greasy and inferior wools wera to Id below last sales, and scoured wools Id lower. Crossbreds, however, are generally firmer. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have received the following cablegram, dated London, Jan. 28th :—Wool—New South Wales and Queensland short staple merino greasy wools are neglected ; ordinary greasy has declined Id per lb since the close of last sales. For crossbreds the market is firmer. Faulty scoured has declined ■|d per lb since close of last sales ; for other descriptions the market is' unchanged. Wools of a faulty character are neglected. The American demand is good for long staple merino, light in grease. The Home demand is good, but the French demand is poor. The total quantity catalogued to date is 54,000 bales, and the withdrawals amount to 6500 bales. Frozen Meat— Market steady. There has been considerable private inquiry, and New Zealand mutton of 651 bs to 70lbs per carcase is worth s£d per lb. Dock Companies’ charges, including six weeks’ storage, have been reduced to a shade under per lb. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. have received the following cable :—• London, January 26th—Inferior greasy and seconds about equal to lowest point of September sales. Market shows no change for other descriptions.
