THE BURMESE WAR.
Rangoon, Dec. 30. Intelligence from the frontier announces that tha inhabitants of the Shan States are displaying a hostile feeling towards the British, and the Shan chiefs are coalescing with a view to entering British territory. A force of 600 British troops is being prepared to suppress the disturbance.
