WAITOHI FLAT SCHOOL.
The annual treat in connection with (he Waitobi Flat School was held in the school grounds on Tuesday, December 29th, 1885. The weather was all that could be desired, and there was a large nmmber of parents and children present. In the schoolroom a magnificent spread was provided, and after ample justice had been done to it by the children and friends an adjournment was made to the grounds where a lengthy programme of spoits was > successfully gone through. About six Lp clock the children were re-assembled in school and the following prizes were Hwdcd:—Most popular boy in the David Cunningham; moat popular Hand Chapman. Most diligent ■Til during the year, A. Scott. Writing Cunningham, Ist; Anne Scott, Arithmetic—J. Orr. Inspector’s report was not to Standard prizes were withheld occasion, but each child Standard I. received a book or a Blrof* W The needlework was judged by the Misses Elkis and Cunningham with the Hollowing result Standard Yl.—Annie ; £ Anderson, 2nd ; A.
