THE WOOL SAL'FJS AT TIMARU,
The wool sales at Timaru on Tuesday «ere fairly successful. The attendance was large, hut the prices gmn were not at *aTl high. TbeN.Z.L. and M.A. Co. give the following /quotations Greasy—Hailbred, l«> t j crossbred, fid to 7-Jrd , three-quarter and seven-eighth-hred, 64d to 7*l ; merino, to 2d to 4o ; locks and pieces, to 3d ; locks, o|l to Id. Half s were held by the Cmterbury Form i>’ C* iperctire Association, the National Mortgage and Agency Co., il m-s A. Fat- crossbred wethers mole lls 3<i ; do ewes, 7s fid ; mixed shorn 2 toi tbs, 7s 3d.; whom crossbred ewes and lambs, fie 2d each; lirst-orues hogget-, uo'sliorn, 8s 3d to 10* lOd ; smalt shorn hoggets, fs 2d ; ugod merino ewes, with hundred per <ent. lambsj 7s 2d per couple. Fair demand for young cattle. Fat tows, £4 to £6 IDs ; 2-year-old heifers, £2 10-; eigt teen niontbs’ do, £2 1-; c o ves. 21s to 275.
