In accordance with the promise made last session the Government are arranging for the establishment of an Agricultural Department, and the organisation of this brand) has been placed in tils hands of Mr Walter Reeves, formerly a farmer in Hawkes Bay and South Canterbury districts. Mr Reeves, who is said to be quite un expert in agricultural work, has submitted to the Government a valuable report on agricultural products shown at the late Exhibition.
