AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Melbournk, Not. t>. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, held their utmal weekly wool sale yesterday afternoon, when a fairly representative catalogue, some 2800 ba'c*>, was submitted. There was a large attendance of buyers, and competition was animated, but there was no change in, the tone of the sales, prices ruling the same as the previous week. A parcel of greasy merino lambs' wool brooght I3£d, being the highest price obtained this season for that class of wool. Greasy merino sold up to I2|d ; scoured wool up to Is was obtained. Adelaide, Nov. 7. The produce market continues quiet. Shipping wheat is 3s lOd to 4s ; town flour, L 8 12s 6d ; country, L 7 12s 6d to LB, Sydney, Not. ,6 New Zealand wheat is firm at 3s per bushel; New Zealand oats are 3d per bushel lower, and are worth 2a 2d, owing to the market being glutted ; maize (56 b), is quoted at 3s 7d, a reduction of Id ; Sugar Co.'a No. 1, pieces L 26 per ton. : ENGLISH MABJTfITS. London, Nov. 7. The wheat market is inactive. Adelaide, ex store, 36s ; do, off coast, 85s 9d ; Adelaide flour, ex storp, 25s ; New Zealand wheat, ex store, 28s to 348 ; off coast, 3is 6d. Eight Australian cargoes have arrived, lor which 358 has been offered. Sellers have sold at higher prices. There is no forward business. For cargoes on passage 86g is offered, and ex warehouse the quotation is 375. The total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingd-m is 1,500,000 quarters, being 870,000 more than reported last week. Tallow, Australian of fair average quality—Beef, 255, a fall of 2s percwt ; mutton, 265, a decline 1 of Is 6d. Leather, ll|d per lb.
