INQUEST AT GERALDINE.

An inquest was held at Geraldine yesterday on the body of Joseph Drmy, before H. C. S. Duideley, i>q., Coroner, and the following jury : VV. Lawson (foreman), D. Denooo, T. Farrell, Jas. Co'e, M. Connelly, and J. Farrell. Robert Fish, deposed : I am a duly qualified medical practitioner, residing at Geraldine. 1 was called iu on Friday evening to see the deceased, who was said to be either dead or dying. I found the man dead. 1 have since made a post mortem examination, and found that deceased had extensive disease of the heart, and of a large artery leading from the heart. I consider that the cause of death. Joseph Kenningtco, deposed : I am a brickmaker, residing at Geraldine. I knew the deceased. I was present in the Crown Hotel on Friday last when the deceased, who was present at the bar, fell down. X helped to put him on the sofa. I thought he had fallen down through hneing too much drink, as he was accustomed to drink. He had been singing a short time before, and singing quite as well as ever I knew him. The jury, without retiring, returned a verdict in accordance with the doctor's evidence—" That the deceased died from heart disease."
