Any present trustee may transfer the management of trust property to the Publio Trustee, who will thereupon hold inch property upon the original trust attaching thereto. Any person, company, association op public body within or without the colony, may place any property belonging to them in charge of the Public Trustee upon trust for euoii uies bs may be defined in the deed waiting the trust. Any building, land, or friendly sooiety may, by its rules, provide that property belonging to it may be placed in the Public Trust Office, for luoh trusts and uses and with such powers as may be defined in or by the said rules. The advantages offered are:— Ist. State Guarantee against peculation, fraud or dishonesty. 2nd. All proposed investments are considered by a Board, consisting of the Hon. Colonial Treeiurer, the Attorney-General, the Comptroller and Auditor-General, the Government Insurance Commissioner, and the Publio Trustee. Careful consideration of all securities offered it is therefore insured. 3rd. The Public Trustee ia kis corporate capacity never dies, never leaves the colony, aid never becomes incapacitated, thus avoiding the many inconveniences resultieg from frtquent freßh appointments ot trustees, necessitated by death, change of abode, or mental or bodily infirmity. 4th. On estates such at are now being considered the PubLc 11 ustee is authorised to charge 1£ per cent. on all receipts, and 1£ per cent, on all disbursements, and ss. per cent, on all moneys ii.vested. No oharge is made for obtaining probate, nor for passing stamps and property tex returns, nor for correspondence, however voluminous. Thus the saving to estates placed in this office is considerable.
