About 4800 sheep, and moderate entry of cattle yarded. Demand for sheep quiet, and several lots withdrawn. Fat wethers, shorn, made lls 6d ; fat woolly merinos, 11s 6d to 12s ; merino hoggets, 8s 8d ; crossbred hoggets, 10< 3 t to lls 9d ; good merino ewes, good percentage lambs, 10s 5d to 10s 101 ; mixed aged ewes, with lambs, 8s 7<i ; crossbred ewes, heavy percentage lambs, 14s Id. Fair enquity for cattle. Fat cows, L 5 5s to L 7 2s 6d ; springing heifers, L 4 15s to L 6 10s ; young cattle quitted at current rates.

f Jhe Manager of’ the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports on the local produce market as follows : Shipping wheat is quieter at 4s to 4s 2d per bushel ; malting barley is very depressed at 3s 6d to 4s 3d ; New Zealand rats, feed sorts, find rather more inquiry at reduced prices, viz , 2s lOd to 3s; milling is steady at 3s Id to 3s 2d ; New Zealand oats, under bond, 2s Id to 2s 2d.
