TEMUKA CRICKET CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the Temuka Cricket Club was held last night in the Temuka Hotel. Mr J. T. M. Hayhnrst, President, occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance.

Mr Bryars was elected Captain for the ensuing season, and Mr Hargreaves Secretary and Treasurer. The following Committee was appointed : Messrs Brown, Haines, Gurr, Ogilvie, and Pinckney. On the motion of Mr Wood, Messrs Brown, Bryars, and Hargreaves, were appointed a Match Committee. Mr Bryars wished to appoint a Ground Committee. He suggested that memb rs should take in turns the rolling of the ground as it was absolutely necessary. Mr Bout suggested that some of the unemployed should be employed on it. The Chairman suggested that a Committee should he appointed to wait upon the Park Committee for the purpose of getting their man to do the work. Mr Bryars moved—" That Messrs Hay burst and Hargreaves be appointed to wait on the Park Committee with the view of inducing them to'assist in keeping the ground in order." —Mr Haines seconded the motion, and it was carried unanimously. On the motion of Mr Wood, Messrs Gas*. Bout, Kokford, Twomey, Dennibey, F Fish, Findlay, Mogridge, and B. P. Aspinall, were elected members. On the motion of Mr Wood, a vote of thanks was passed to Mr Haybnrat for his kindness in preparing the ground. The motion was carried by acclamation.—Mr Hayhuret suitably acknowledged the compliment. It wais deeded to have a match between Married and Single members on the Temnka ground next Saturday. On the motion of Mr Mason a vote of thanks to the officers for the past year was carried. It was decided that the colors should be red and black, A vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the meeting.
