Hawkesbury Grand Handicap, a handicap sweepstake of 10 sovs, each, half forfeit if not scratched by 4 p.m. on the day preceding the races, with 300 sovs. added. Closed with 109 nominations. Prince Imperial ... ... 1 Despot,,. ... ... ... 2 The Broker ... ... ... 3 Twenty horses faced the starter. The race was a grand one, and resulted in Prince Imperial winning by two lengths, with Despot second, and The Broker third, A head divided seeond and third horses. Time—2tnin. 35^sec.
