A y present trustee may transfer the management of trust property to the Public Trustee, who will thereupon hold such property upon the original trust attaching thereto. Any person, company, assooiation or public body within or without the colony, may place any property belonging to them in charge of the Public Trustee upon trust for such uses as may be defined in the deed creating the trust. Any building, land, or friendly society may, by its rules, provide that property belonging to it may be placed in the Publio Trust Office, for auoh trusts and uses and with such powers as may be defined in or by the said lies. The advantages offered are:— Ist. State Guarantee against peculation, fraud or dishonesty. 2rd. All proposed investments are considered by a Board, oonaisting of the Hon. Colonial Treesurer, the Attorney -General, the Comptroller and AirMtor-Gencral, the Government Insurance fl§ mmiseioner, and the Publio Trustee. Ca ifPd consideration of all securities offered it is therefore insured. 3rd. The Public Trustee in kis corporate capacity novor dies, never leaves the colony, and never becomes incapacitated, thus avoiding the many inconveniences resulting from frequent fresh appointments of trustees, neoe»»itated by dsatb, ohango of abode, or mental or bodily infirmity. 4t.h. Punctuality and promptitude in the remittance of periodical payments to beneficiaries under trust or will to any part of the colony, at which it may ba desired that payment should bo made. sth. The effective oheck whiohis called into operation before any moneys can be paid from the Publio Trustee's Acoount. 6th. Reasonable Charges. On estates such as are now being considered the Public Trustee is authorised to charge 1£ per cent, on all receipts, and U t per cent, on all die< bursements, and ss. per cent, on all moneys invested. No oharge is made for obtaining probate, nor for passing stamps and property tax returns, nor for correspondence, however voluminous. Thus the saving to estates placed in this office is considerable.
