SHEEP WASHING. The following statements have been kindly given for publication : I have used one of Jackson’s Patent Lifts ut my wash with great advantage, as it saves labor, prevents injury to the sheep economises soap, and helps to insure more perfect washing. I have seen Jacksons’s Patent Sheep Lift at work, and I consider it a valuable inven tion ; the sheep are got under the jets while wool is hot 5 the washing is greatly facilitated; the sheep are saved from injury by rough usuage, and the color and condition of the wool is improved. Any building, land, or friendly society may, by its rules, provide that property belonging to it may be placed in the Public Trust Office, for such trusts and uses and with such powers as may be defined in or by the said rules. Punctuality and promptitude in the remittance of periodical payments to beneficiaries under trust or will to any part of the colony, at which it may bo desired that payment should be made. sth. The effective check which is called into operation before any moneys can be paid from the Public Trustee’s Account. 6th. Reasonable Charges. On estates such as are now being considered the Publ c Trustee is authorised to charge per cent, on all receipts, and 1$ per cent, on all disbursements, and ss. per cent, on all moneys invested. No charge is made for obtaining probate, nor for pacing stamps and property t-ii returns, nor for correspondence, however voluminous. the saving to estates placed in this offic is considerable. B. 0.
