CHRISTCHURCH STOCK MARKETS.

Messrs Matson and Co., report upoo yesterday's Addington Li\e Stock Market as follows :—There was a better supply of fat sheep. The quality was good and a clearance of most lots was effected at prices showing an improvement on last month, and fairly maintaining last week's rise. Good crossbred wethers brought 15s to 16s 6d ; medium classes, 12s 6.1 to 14s 6d ; merinos up to lis. Stores—The supply was nominal, and no quotation can be given. Beef was rather weaker than at last sale : rate, 17s to 18s 6d per lOOlbs. There was a fair business in store cattle, at unaltered rates. Pigs sold better all round, and there was a full supply, chiefly consisting of light weights. —Guardian.
