SHEEP WASHING. TAOKSON’S sheep LI ft J (Protected b Ryal Letters Patent,) Isa most useful and simple contrivance for lifting sheep from the hot soak instead of their being dragged up an incline ; it can be fitted to almost any wash. The following statements have been kindly given for publication : I have used one of Jackson’s Patent Lifts st my wash with great advantage, as it saves labor, prevents injury to the sheep economises soap, and helps to insure more perfect wash* mg. I have seen Jacksons’s Patent Sheep Lift at work, and I consider it a valuable inven tion ; the sheep are got under the jets while wool is hot; the washing is greatly facilitated; the sheep are saved from injury by rough usuage, and the color and condition of the wool is improved. Any building, land, or friendly society may, by its rules, provide that property belonging to it may; be placed in the Public Trust Office, for mob trusts and uses and with such powers as may be defined in or by the said rules. The Pubhc Trustee in hi# corporate capacity never dies, never leaves the colony, and never becomes incapacitated, thus avoiding the many ino'nveuienoes mulling from f-rquent fnsh appointments of trustees, necessitated by death, change of abode, or mental or bodiiy iuflrtni y. Aib. Punctuality and promptitude in the remittance of periodical payments to beneficiaries under trust or will to any part of uhe colony, »t which it may be desired that payment should bn made. 5 h. The rfT ctive check which is called into operation before any moneys can be paid from the Public Trustee’s Account. 6h. Seasonable Charges. On estates such as are being considered tbo Publ c Trustee ia authorised to charge per cent, oaall receipt, aid 1J per cent, on all disbursements, and ss. per cent, on all moneys fnvested. No charge is made for obtaining probate, nor for passing stamps and property ttx returns, nor lor correspondence, however wluminoua. Thus the saving to estates pl.tced in jhis cffice is considerable.
