O'Halloran, at tiie Post Office, to present him with a token of their esteeai and regard on the occasion of his leaving the district. The presentation was made by the Rev. T. A. Hamilton, who, after a few remarks, read the following address :

"ToB. D. O'Halloran, Esq., " Dear Sir,—-The Vestry of St. Saviour's Church desire your acceptance of these prayer and hymn books as a mark of their esteem, and in recognition of the valuable services rendered to the Church by you whilst filling the . post of Parishioners' Churchwarden, for two years in succession. We wish you God speed, and every happiness in your new vphere of labor.— We have the honor to be, Sir, your obedient servants—Thos. A. Hamilton, Incumbent; J. T. M. flayhurst, G. Bolton, Churchwardens : E. Pilbrow, E. W. Gurr, J. Talbot, B. Lee, T. Park, J. Langridge, G. J. Mason, Vestrymen." The Rey. Mr Hamilton then presented Mr O'Halloran with a very handsome prayer and hymn books.—Mr O'Halloran expressed his sincere thanks for the present he had received at their hands, He thought they had over-estimated his services in connection with the Church, as he had never done anything more than he ought to. He often felt he had not done enough, but his inability to do more was often caused by his time not always being his own. He had, however, done whatever he could willingly. In parting with them lie felt great regret, and he would look forward with pleasure to a time when he hoped to see them all again. He begged again to thank them, not only for the pr esent they had given him, but also for the many kindnesses he had received at their hands in the past.

The proceedings then terminated with some little pleasantries, many good wishes being expressed for Mr O'Halloran's future well-being.
