POLITICAL.

It is expected the Gorernor'a speech will be very comprehensive, and giro a general outline of the ministerial policy. After the opening ceremony on Thursday the House will adjourn until Friday, when, in accordance with the usual constitutional practice, the Government will bring down some small Bill, and then an apjournment will probably be made to the following Tuesday. The Minister of Lands will, on the first opportunity, give notice of a Consolidated Land Bill, which consolidates the land laws of the colony. The Government measures are complete, and the real business of the session is expected to commence shortly after the assembly. The Bill for the re-construction of the Legislative Counoil limits the nomination to ten years. The present members are in no way affected.
