AUCTIONEERS' REPORT. GEIU.LDINE. Messrs J. Mundeli aud Co. report sales for the week endiDg Saturday, 9th May, 1885 : At the monthly sale of atock in the Gtjraldine Yards on Monday, the 4th, the weather was anything but favorable for the sale, heavy rain falling during the greater part of the day, thereby preventing a great number of those interested from attending. The totals yarded for th« day were—33l2 sheep, 49 pigs, 94 cattle, and 6 horses. The following prices were realised : Sheep—Crossbred wethers, fat, 103 6d ; crossbred ewes, 8s to 9d 3d ; halfbred larnbß, 4s 9d to 8s 6d ; merino ewes, 3s 6d. Pigs—ln chiH line every lot was passed, owners not being prepared to accept the prices offered. Cattle— They notice an increasing demand for well-grown 3-year-old steers. Prices realised for Hun class were from £5 17s 6d to £6 17s 6d; 2-year-olds, dull ©£ sale, at £1 10s to £1 15s ; yearlings, 14s to £1 ss; cowp, springing and in full profit, £4 17s 6d to £6 10s.

At Winchester Fnir on Thursday, the 7th, there was an average entry of stock sent forward for the day's sale. Of their entry they sold 82 crossbred ewes at 5s 6d, 65 merino ewes at Is Bii, 3 p ; gs at 10s ; 8 3-year-old steers at £i J9s 6J, 15 yearlings at £l. They submitted to auction a quarter-acre section in the township of Winchester, the competition for which was good, and succeeded in effecting a sale at £3B.

PRODUCE MARKETS.

TIMARU. The Canterbury Fanners' Co-operative Association, Limited, report as follows : Wheat—During the past week has been difficult to move, except for actual milling requirements. Merchants continue to show little disposition to speculate at tanners prices, and as a consequence the greater portion of the grain is going into store. They have placed a few parcels of milling at 2s 9d for velvet ex store, and these may be taken as present values. Inferior qualities have been enquired for at from Is 6d to 2s. Oats—Large quantities have come forward during the week, and the market is fully supplied. Business h»s been fully confined to coastwise shipments, at from Is 3d to Is 5J for long and Is 5d to Is 7d for short feed. Prime milling can be placed at Is 7d to Is 8d on trucks, Tiniaru. Barley—There is little enquiry for, malsters being for the time supplied. They quote 2s 6d to 3s, ex store, for prime malting, In inferior there is nothing doing.

Lokpon, May, 7. Colonial breadstuffs—Adelaide wheat, ex store, shows a fall of Is 6d, the price quoted to-day being 37s 6d. Adelaide flour, ex store, 275. New Zealand wheat, 32s to 365. Wool-The tone of the market ir quiet. 350,000 bales up to the present have arrived for the next series of colonial wool auctions.
