ENGLISH MARKETS.
London, March 27,
New Zealand frozen mutton remains unchanged, prime quality averaging 6£d per lb, March 28. The wool market is firm, 106,000 bales were catalogued yesterday, and the withdrawals to date are 10,000 bales. The wheat market is active. February shipments have been sold at 35s 6d ; 36s 6d has been refused for March and April shipments. Some parcels for London direct have been placed at 345. Wheat, ex warehouse, has brought 365. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received the following telegram : —London, March 96. Up to date 63,000 bales have been sold and 32,000 taken for export. Competition on French account is active, but on German account only moderate. Horne buyers are not operating with much spirit, and there is much irregularity in biddings. For coarse crossbreds competition is increasing, and the market is firmer. For combing washed the market is dull, and for other sorts there is no change to report.
