Melbourne, March 24,
The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports on [the local markets as follows; Shipping wheat has a hardening tendency, and is quoted at 3s 7d to 3s 8d per bushel ; malting barley, dull, 3s 9d to 4s 6d ; New Zealand oats, both feed and milling sorts, show a slightly im* proyed tendency? prices ruling for feeding qualities being 2s 9d to 2s lid, and milling 3s to 3s Id per bushel; New Zealand oats under bond, 2s 3d to 2s 6d per bushel ; ryegrass feed, in fair demand, 8s 6d to 4s 6d,
ENGLISH MARKETS,
London, March 23. The market for colonial breadstuffs and tallow is unchanged, Wool—The market is firm. To-day’* catalogue comprised 10,600 bales.
