NEW ZEALAND INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION.
GERALDINE. A meeting of the Geraldine sub-Com-mittee was held in the Literary Institute yesterday. Present Messrs Pearpoint (Chairman), J. Cunningham (Secretary), E. H. Poatlethwaite, J. Mundell, and W. Coltman. The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. The Chairman informed the meeting that a reply had been received from Captain Temple, who applied for 24 ft of wall space for the purpose of exhibiting some pictures. Mr C. G. Tripp also wrote and said he was having some wool prepared for exhibition. The Chairman thought they might safely apply for Bpace for grain. Mr Coltman suggested that several farmers should combine and get a show case made with sliding glass top to show the grain in. It was resolved to apply for six square feet for grain, and 6ft for the Geraldine Dairy Factory's exhibit of cheese. The Chairman said he was endeavoring to get some of the Kakahu residents to send exhibits of limestone, etc. Mr Coltman promised to see Mr Fleming and ascertain whether he would exhibit his improved milk can. It was resolved that the Committee meet at half-past ten o'clock on Saturday morning to receive any further applications which might be made. This being all the business the Committee adjourned,
TEMUKA. At a meeting of the Temuka sub-Com-mittee of the above held last night in the Wallingford Hotel, Temuka, there were present—Messrs K. F. Gray (in the chair), J. Talbot, and J. T. M. Hayhurst. It was arranged that Messrs Hayhurst, Deßenzy, and Talbot, should look after exhibits of cereals, and Messrß Barker, and Gray dairy produce, wool, and implements* The advertisement referring to the m attar appears elsewhere.
