AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS. GEUALDtNB. Messrs J. Mundell and Co. report sales for the week ending Saturday, 13'h December, 1884 : During; the week we have sold both publicly and privately several lots of store cattle and sheep. For the fortnei wo are glad to report a decided improvement in values, buyers being plentiful for large lines of store cattle and crossbred sheep. At Temuka on Friday, associated with Mr K. F. Gray, we held a clearing sale on account of Mr VV. Wheelband. Thera was i large attendance of buyers, and the stock and plant were in really good order for selling, all being good of their respective kind, notably the dairy cows and pigs, The competition throughout the sale was of the keenest kind, the sale •vinding up in every way highly satisfactory to the vendor.

Properties.—On Wednesday at onr sale rooms, Geraldine, we sold on account of the Trustees in the Estate of Julius Mendelson, deceased, 63a 3r 38p of laud adjoining the Geraldine township at £ll per acre.

AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Sydney, Dec. 12. New Zealand wheat, per bushel, is quoted at 2s 33d ; New Zealand oats, 3s ; maize, 4s 4d. Sugar Company’s No. 3 pieces, per ton, £3l. ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Dec. 12. Australian tallow' Average quality beef remains at 345. Mutton has advanced by 6d to 36a. New Zealand frozen mutton, prime quality, is to-day' quoted at 'o 6|d.

Dec. 13. The wheat market is dull, and quotations are unchanged.
