THE WEEKLY HALF HOLIDAY.
TO THE EDITOR, Sx R| — I have been much surprised at the letter, signed Olericus, which appeared in your columns a few days ago not eliciting a response from the storemen, drapers’ assistants, etc., employed in the town. Surely such a philanthropic proposal deserves some consideration. And 1 should suggest, as a means of bringing the proposal to a successful issue, thai a conference of employers and employed be held at an early date, and the matter, at all events, * thoroughly discussed. —I am, etc., Old Employee. Temuka, Dee. 4th, 1884.
