AUSTRALIAN" MARKETS. Melbourne, Dec, 2. *j'he Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports on the local markets as follows: Wheat is quiet at 3s lOd to 3s lid ; mailing barlev, 4s to 4s 6d, market dull and drooping. New Zealand oats, feeding sorts, are steady, but not in active demand, at 3s 6<l to 3s ', milling do, 3s 9d to 3s 10 I, market less depressed, bat not rouoh doing ; New Zealand oats, under bond, are slow of sale at 2s lid to 3s Id.

ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Dee. 1. Adelaide wheat, ex store, is unchanged at 35s 6d, and New Zealand ditto 30s 6d to 335. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, is north 23s 6d. Australian tallow, of average quality —Beef and mutton. 345.

The total stock of tallow in London to-day is 20,7w0 casks.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency CompHny, Limited, have received the following telegram : London, Nov. 29th.—Wool —I'he sales closed to-day at the level of last series, except for clothing washed, short staple merino scoured, short stapie merino heavy in grease, and coarse sc-'Ur<d crossbred, f.ir which classes the rnirket is easit-r. The sales comprised abi»ut 135,000 baits. Ttn thousand bales were held over for future disposal. Seventy thousand bales have been taken for export. Continental demand is good, but. the Home buyers have purchased sparingly. Wheat—Adelaide wheat to arrive, iron ship, is worth, e.i.f., 34s 6>\ per 480 b, January bills of la'iine (new crop). Tallow—Market flat. Mutton and beef are both worth 31s per cwt. Leather—Market drooping. Best sides are worth 1 per lb.
