GERALDINE SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The usual monthly meeting of the Committee was held on Thursday evening. Present—Messrs H. H. Pearpoint (Chairman), A. Sherratt, G. Ward and N. Dunlop.
MINUTES. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. VISITING COMMITTEE. The Visiting Committee for the past month reported that everything was working well and attendance good, there being present on the day of inspection 197 children in the morning and 196 in the afternoon. Since last meeting the parents of those children irregularly attending the school had been written to, and the children were now attending satisfactorily. HEAD MASTER'S REPORT. The Head master, Mr Hughes, reported an average attendance for the past month of 175. He also requested the Committee to make arrangements for the selection of prizes. MISCELLANEOUS. The Chairman stated that a man had been engaged to carry out the necessary repairs to Ihe fences, doors, and plastering, etc. The Chairman and Mr Dunlop were appointed a Committee to assist Mr Hughes to carry out the annual concert in aid of the prize fund. Messrs A. Sherratt and G. Ward were appointed visitors for the month. This being all the business the Committee adjourned.
