At the Addington yards on Wednesday, large entries of all kinds of stock were penned fur the day’s supply. In the fat sheep market some excellent quality, both of crossbreds and merinos, were on offer, shorn and unshorn. The store sheep market was fairly well supplied, demand appearing only middling. The following sales were made :—A line of crossbred hoggets at 11s Bd, and a line of merino wethers at 7s 4d, various lines of ewes and lambs being passed unsold. Eat lambs were in moderate supply, selling at from 10s to 16s per head. The supply of pigs was a good one, clearance being made at late rates, stores selling at from 12s to 20s, porkers at from 22s to 495, heavy pigs at £2 19s. A large supply of fat cattle was on offer, more than the market demanded, and values showed a slight decline. Bullocks sold at from £5 17s 6d to £9 ; heifers, from £5 5s to £7 17s 6d, being from IBs 6d to 2ls per lOOlbs. The store cattle market was largely supplied, the demand proving most limited, and little or no clearances were made.
