MOUNT PEEL ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the above Board was held in the Road-Board Office, Peel Forest, on' Friday, the 17th inst. Present —Messrs G. J. Dennistpun,. (Chairman pro tem ), R. M»ck»y and. flawdon. ; ..IUNXJTBB.

The following tenders ware considered i—For Nbl 26 contract, stacking boulders, Thomas Blair, LI00;; Daniel Quldan £63 (accented).'No. 27, crushing metal. Tenders being, considered too high were declined, fresh tenders to be 7 ' invited. - -r- : • i GOBHJB&POHDBlfOJI. The following correspondence was read and dealt .with From Mr R. L. Button and .Messrs f Taylor and Flatman, asking: the Board - to take the necessary steps .for having the road in Peel Forest-between sections • 8309 and 1872 abolished. —The Clerk Was directed to reply, calling their attention to clause 99 of the Public . The,Overseer was instructed to at- ; : tend to-the :road leading from the Main road to Bcotsburn ; to inspect and " report upon Brake’s road, Peel Forest; to Inspect and.report upon the dangerous slip on the Kakahu and Burke’s Pass road, near the corner of Raddon’s sec- ': tidn, Railisliff; and to call for tenders .. for ahingling Gndex road, upon condiowners' of the adjoining land allow the gravel to be taken out of : their land.
