AUCTIONEER St REPORTS. CHRISTCHURCH, Messrs Robert Wilkin and Co. report : Sheepskins, Fat, Tallow, Hides, etc.— Onr catalogue for Thursday, the 7th inst., was a fairly full one, comprised of a firstclass lot of butchers’ skins and some good lines of country merinos and crossbreds. Rough fai and tallow-Only a small entry rame to hand, which realised late prices. For the day’s*supply we catalogued 2241 skins, 76 pkgs fat, 180 hides and calfskins and a few lot* of wool, which brought from £d to 6d per lb for fanners* lots. Butchers’crossbreds, 3s 61 to 4s lid; do merinos, 4s Id to 4s 61; country do, 2s Id to 4s ; do crossbreds, 2s lOd to 4s 4d ; factory skins, 3s 7d to 4> 21 ; rough fat and tallow, 21 to 2£d per lb; biles, 601 b and ove*-, 41 ; 501 b to 591 b, 3J* ; under 461 b, 3d per lb ; calfskins, sound, 41 per lb ; cut and damaged bides and calfskins, per 11>, AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. ENGLISH London, August 9. Off coast cargoes of Adelaide wheat changed hands to-day at 37* 6d, a further decline of 6d per’ quarter; Adelaide wheat, ex store, .•emains at 40s; and New Zealand ditto, ?4s to 41s. Adelaida flour, ex warehouse, 28s. Australian tallow, average qualify— Beef, 34s 61 ; mutton, 34s 6d. Australian wheat cargoes are selling at an average of 395. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following cablegram from its London branch August 6th—Fiozsn meat rnar ket dull. Mutton weighing par carcase 701 bto 75 ! b is worth 5d per lb.
