The Town and Country Journal, under date June 2let, report* a* follows : ‘ Wheat —We notice by cable advice* from Europe that there i* a very depressed tone in the wheat market, and p>ioes are now quoted lower than on any previous occasion, no d nbt owing to the prospects of the growing crops. The Victorian market ha* *lso receded in value* ; whilst in Aoelaide prices remain about the same. In this market our full quotations are asked by holder*, although no doubt, a concession would be taken if offered ; on the whole, the market is dull, and no business doing during the week. New South Wales wheat, 4i fid ; Victorian, 4* to 4> 51 ; Adelaide, 4* fid ; Tasmanian, 4s to is 2d ! New Zealand, 3. to 4s. Flour—The fl ur market has been without a imation i urn g the past w»ek, and very little busiwrß* has, irahspired.
