WINCHESTER F.O. K GERALDINE F.C.

A match between teams representing these Clubs was played on the ground of the former on Saturday last, resulting in a victory for Geraldine by a goal and two tries to nil. The Geraldine captain won the toss and kicked off. After several scrimmages, Fred. Fish obtained a try for the visitors, but Erskioe failed to secure a goal. Shortly afterwards Erskine secured a try from which a goal waa obtained by Fred Fish. In the second spell, Fish again obtained a try, bnt the visitors failed to convert it into a goal. During the remainder ef the game the Winchester team played very puckily and kept near their opponents' goal almost the whole time, but nothing further wai obtained by either Bide. Frank Fish, Brown and Harding played well for Geraldine, while Young, Shallard and Bishop did the same for the home team.

TIMARU CRUSADERS V. TEMUKA FOOTBALL CLUB.

A match between theTimara Cwsftders and a Temuka team came off in the Temnka Park on Saturday last. The day was dull and cold, and the ground ▼•ry slipperry and wet owing to the recent rains. The Crusaders arrived in Temnka about half past two and play commenced shortly after three o'clock. Haines captained the Temuka team, and J. Robertß the' Timaru. The game was .played in four spells of twenty minutes each, of which Timarn got the best in the first and third and Temuka in the second and fourth. The game resulted in a draw. Roberts, Goodall, Haylock and F. Jonea played well for Timaru, and Haines, Velvin and Wood, made great efforts on behalf of Temnka. After the game the visitors were entertained by the home team at the Wallingford Hotel, where a capital spread was provided. The game was witnessed by a large number of spectators.
