AUCTIONNEERS' REPORT.
GERALDINE. Messrs J. Mundell and Co, repoit i sales for the week ending Saturday, 14th Jane, 1884 : We have little change of any importance to report in the stock market. Sheep are slow of sale at prices similar to last week's quotations. We notice an alteration for the bstter in forward store cattle, aud we anticipate high prices will be obtained for this class of stock as the spring approaches, 'j'he demand for pigs still remains good, and high prices are ruling. On Tuesday, the 10th inst., we held a clearing sale on account of Mr Thomas Low, at Strathnoon, cf household furniture aDd effects. The attendance was good, and jn most instances fair values were realised, £8 15s being obtained for a dairy cow. On Thursday, the 12th inst., w« held a clearing sale on the farm of Mr James Joe, Woodbury, of live stock, farming implements, etc. There was a large attendance of buyers, and every line wae keenly competed for throughout the sab. Medium draught horses sold from ] £l7 to £l9 ; light'harness horses, £lO 10s ; aged store cows fetched £3 ' 10s ; yearling steers and heifers, £2 ; ] calves, 13s ; engine and combine by j Marshall, £l2O ; goodwill of reserve, j L 165 ; d.f. plough, L 6 10s; tip j dray, L 7 ; and other implements at j satisfactory rates. ENGLISH MAKKETS.

The wool auctions closed to-day. The total quantity sold during tha scries was 320,000 bale*. 38,000 bales have been held over. Greasy wools closed at last sales' closing rates. Crossbreds are a halfpenny higher than at the close of the February-March auctions. Fleece wools closed irregularly.
June 13. New Zealand mutton is quoted today at 5d to s£d per lb. Adelaide wheat, ex store, 41s ; off coast cargoes have declined to 40s 3d; New Zealand wheat, ex store, 35s to 40s ; Adelaide flour, ex store, 28a, downward tendency.
The tallow market continues dull, and prices have further fallen 6d per cwt. Australian beef, average quality, 35s 6d ; mutton, 375.
June 14.
Several Australian wheat cargoes have been purchased on the French account at from 40s to 41b.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Compuny, Limited, have received the following cable from their London branch, dated 12th instant : Wool—The sales closed firmly at the level of last sales on the 12th instant, except for inferior, scoured and clothing and combing, washed, for which the rate is easier. Crossbred has advanced to Id per lb. The principal advance has been in crossbied. Coarse crossbred lambß, scoured, has declined Id per lb since the close of laet sales. The sales comprised about 824,000 bales ; 38,000 bales have been held over for future disposal ; 180,000 bales have been taken for export.
