A disastrous fire occurred last night in Glasgow, when the Tramway Company’s stables were totally destroyed, and oyer two hundred were burnt to death.
There is still no clue to the perpetrators of the recent dynamite outrages, June 3. The Committee appointed by the French Senate have but slightly modified the Recidivisle In their report they approve of sending convicts to New Caledonia and Cayenne, and reject the proposals that Pkquot and Marquesas Islands should be chosen as the place to which the prisoners should be exiled. The Committee also recommend that six years’ good conduct should entail a remission of the remainder of the sentence which a convict may have to serve. Constantinople, June 2.
The disputes which since the early part of this year have existed between the Porte and Cretan Christians, are now assuming a more serious phase, and the ill-feeling is daily intensifying. Photiadea Pasha, Governor of the Island, has resigned office on account of the present state of affairs.

Melbourne, June 2
Morgan, who was sentenced to death last month for the murder of Margaret Nolan, a child ten yews of age, at Pan mure, in November last, has confessed his guilt, although he protested that he was innocent at the time sentence was passed upon him. Sydney, June 2.
The steamship Albion left for New Zealand on Friday evening last, but returned to port yesterday, owing to her machinery having become deranged. She again left on the following day. June 3. Owing to warning received from Horae, precautionary measures are now being taken for the protection of the local public buildings. Later. In consequence of the warnings which has been received by the authorities regarding the projected attempts to destroy the public buildings in this city, the City ot Sydney will be strictly searched for explosives on her arrival from Auckland.
