"VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a\| the Geraldine County Council intend BORROWING the sum of TWO THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-EIGHT POUNDS (£2938) under “ The Roads and Bridges Construction Act, 1882,” for the purpose of Re-constructing the old portion of the Opiid Bridge, which is estimated to coat £2938. The amount of the yearly repayments on the above loan by the Council is £264 8s sd, and the Special Rate to be made and'levied will amount to One. Tenth of a Farthing in the £ on the capital value of the County as per Ratepayers’ tioll of 1883. Plans, Specifications and detailed Estimates of the cost of such proposed work, may be seen at the Office of the Council during ordinary business hours. A POLL of the County Ratepayers will be taken on the above proposal in the manner provided by “The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876,” on FRIDAY, April 4th, 1884, between the hours of 9 a.m, and 6 p.m. The following are the Polling Places : Office of Geraldine County Council, Timaru Levels Road Board Office, Point Temuka Road Board Office Winchester Mechanics’ Institute Geraldine Road Board Office.
