south canterbury board of education. election of school committees. fiIHE Education Board of 'Jie District fi of *outh Canterbury, in pursuance of powers in that behalf conferred by the Education Act 1877 (section 66), hereby directs that a PUBLIC MEETING of Householders in the School Diatricts of ORARI BRIDGE, WAIHOA, HOOK, and OPIHI shall be held on SATURDAY, the 16th day of February, 1884, at 7 o'clock in the evening, for the Election of Seven Householder* (section 63) to f nrm the Committee for each District for Hie ypar ending with the Fourth Monday in January, 1885. The place of meeting shall be the Schoolhouse in each District. The B iard further directs that the first meeting of each School Committee be held in the place appointed for the Election, and immediately after the Election upon the same evening. The Board requests the Chairman of each Public Meeting to make to the Board, immediately after the Election, a return of the names of the Seven Householders elected to form the Committee, and recommends that the Chairman of Committee report his own election as soon as possible.
