AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS.

Messrs Maslin and Sherrntt report having sold privately during (he week, on account of Mr R. H. Pearpoint, four acres of land with 4-roomed house, at Geraldine, at a satisfactory figure. At the opening sale of their new rooms, Temnka, on Saturday, the attendance was very good, and the bidding satisfactory, nearly all the lines offered—which were very numerous—selling at fair prices, Several stock entries were unavoidably held over till next sale, they not having been able to complete yards in time. TIMAEU. Messrs Maclean and Stewart report for the week ending Saturday last as follows : Erases—There was little business done at their yards to-day, there being at present almost no demand. Between 30 and 40 head were entered for sale, and the greater bulk being medium and inferior sorts, low prices were ruling. They sold medium draughts from L2O to L 23, light harness horses and backs from L 8 to LI6. Sheep They have to report a considerable drop in the values of store sheep, but expect that as soon as stubble feed is available prices will again improve. There is at present but a limited demand. At the Washdyke yaids last Monday'they quitted a line of 650 haltbred ewes and wethers at from 7s to 12s 6d. Fat sheep are also somewhat back in price ; prime mutton may be quoted at from to 2fd per lb Cattle—There is little to report in store cattle at present, few lots of any consequence having changed hands during the week, and there is no alteration in prices. Fat cattle—They placed a few head at the Washdyke last Monday at prices equal to nearly 20s per 1001 b. Property—At their rooms to-day they offered on account of the owners several sections at Fairlie Creek, and sold as follows :—No. 3,9 r 37p, Mr Manaton, Lll7 ; No, 6, lr 4p, Mr Manaton, L 22 ; No, 7, lr 4p, Mr Manaton, L 22 ; No, 8, lr, Mr Dooley, L 26 ; No. 9, lr, Mr Manaton, L 22 ; No. 10, lr, Mr Manaton, LlB ; No. 13, lr, Mr Newlands, Ll 4 ; No. 38, lr, Mr Newlands, Ll 3 ; No. 41, lr, Mr Manaton, Ll 3 ; No. 42, lr, Mr Dooley, Ll2 ; No. 43, lr, Mr Manaton, Ll 5. They also offered two rural sections near Fairlie Creek, containing one 133 acres and the other 128 acres, for which there were no bids. Privately they sold during the week a section on the Pareora Estate, containing about 53 acres, at a satisfactory figure.
