Lord Loftus’ sire, Sir Colin Carapell, was by the well-known pure-bred Clydesdale, Eing Fergus (imported), dam Scotland’s Pride (imported), a Pure-bred Clydesdale Mare, and winner of many prizes. Lord Loftus’ dam was the Purebred Clydesdale Mare , by Napoleon, grand dam Jean, by Wellington. Lord Loftus is a sure foal-getter, some of the Finest Stock in the district being his progeny.
