We, however, managed to dispose of all our lots at the following rates: —Country erossbreds, from Is Id to 4s lid ; country merinos, from Is 8d to 5s 3d ; butchers' pelts, from 3d to lid ; lambskins, 8d to Is Id. Fat and Tallow we cleared out at per lb for butchers' fat, up to 2|d per lb for good dry from the country Hides —Green 3£d, wet salted dry salted 3f d, calfskins 3|d. CHEISTCHUECH CORIS EXCHANGE The Corn Exchange report for the week ending Friday evening, the 21st inst : There has been no apparent change in tW grain market during the .past week, business having been confined principally to small parcels. There is still a fair demand for really sound milling wheat, buyers showing a disposition to operate afc ruling rates. For other cereals the inquiry has been very limited. Quotations as follows : Wheat—Sound milling, 3s 10d to 4s 2d per bushel f.o.b. ; scc<md quality," 3r 3d to 3s 8d ; chickwheat, Is lOd to 2s 3d per bushel. Oats—Prime milling, 2s Id to 2s 2d per bushel, f.o.b. ; bright short teed, Is lid to 2s; inferior and discolored, Is 8d to Is lOd per bushel. Barley—First-class malting, 4s to 4s 3d per bushel ; second quality, 2s 3d to 'ss 6d ; feed, Is lOd to 2s per bushel. •*# Cheese and Butter— to 5d for the former, and to 7d; for the latter, kegs extra. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. ■ ' • ■' '-' * Melbourne, Dec. 20. At their wool sales to-day, the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited), offered 4500 bales. There was a large attendanco of buyers and brisk competition. The demand ' tor good wool was maintained, but inferior qualities were neglected in sym-, :iathy with the London market. 3500 hales were sold at satistactoiy prices, ,■'■ making the total for the week 4100 'mles.
