OUR COACH ARRANGEMENTS.

TO THE EMTOB Sib,—Noticing in your paper agrep outcry against the present postal services, ; T .would respectfully, through the medium of your columns, draw the at—- , tention of the public to another matter ' which demands reform. I alludes tp the .:,"( arrangements of the line of cdaches which are now running between Geraldine and Winchester. If anything occurs in the former township whereby an extra coach is required to be put on, the Winchester as well as the Geraldine people have to suffer, as the coach is taken off that route for the time being, and passengers for Geraldine v by the last train from Timaru have jf'to walk the distance (eight miles), much to their disgust I should fancy. If the proprietors of this line of coaches desire to gain the confidence of the public in the matter they should adhere strictly to what they advertise they are ready to do. If not, why the sooner a coach is placed on the route by another firm, who would adhere to what they undertake to do the better, I understand, sir, that this neglectfillness has taken place several times, and it so happens that the Timaru evening paper is forwarded to Geraldine via Winchester, consequently when no coach is thera to meet the train the aforesaid papers do not reach their distillation that night, whereby they arei useless when they ultimately come to hand, thus entailing a loss to both pro- *■ prietor and agent of the paper,—l am, .... A Sufferer.
