N. Z. Shipping Company’s Stbakbbi.The New Zealand Shipping Company are advised by cablegram from London that the 8.8. Tongariro arrived ’all well at Cape of Good Hope at 5 a.m. on 20th November, thus making the passage from Plymouth, including detention at Teneriffe, in twenty* one days five hours. .The British Kiug called at Teneriffe on the 10th instant, en route for Wellington. The steamship lonic left punctually to advertised time of sailing last Saturday, clearing Lyttelton Heads at 4. 30. p.m. of that day, and is now well off the coast on her journey to London,via Rio Janeiro and St. Vincent. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s name for quickly despatching their ships has been fully maintained with respect to the lonic. The handling of her inward and outward cargo, together amounting to 6,000 tons, including the coaling, was accom* plished in ninety hours. Among her cargo, were 3,500 bales of wool and skins, 11,773 carcases of mutton, 144 pieces of beef, 779 kegs of butter, and 2,5580 z ISdwts of gold. The export duty on the gold was £255 17s fid.
