AUSTRALIAN MARKETS,
Nov. 8.
•" The Melbourne Manager.. of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports of the local grain market as follows : Wheat is depressed . Shipping parcels are quoted at 4s 3d ; malting barley at 4s 8d to 5s 5d ; quotations are nominal. New Zealand oals are quiet ; feeding sorts stand at 2s lOd to 3s Id ; milling do, at 8s Id to 3s 2d.
ENGLISH MARKETS.
London, Nov. 6.
Wheat is unchanged—Adelaide, ex store, 45s Sd ; New Zealand, ditto, 32s fid to 44s fid.
Australian tallow —Best beef, 38s fid best mutton, 40s.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, limited, have received the following telegram, dated London, 6th November, 1883 : —* Wool —Since the close of the last sales there has been considerable business by private treaty on Home account, at fully previous rates, for coarse crossbred. The total quantity sold by private treaty since last sales is 2500 bales, chiefly Capo of Good Hope, The outlook for the next sales is favorable, ' Wheat market firm. New Zealand is worth 46s per 4961b5, and New Zealand f.a.q. off coast 4ls per 480 lbs. Tallow is dull of sale. The supplies of town melted are heavy. Mutton is worth 41s, and beef 39s per cwt.’
