The second day's racing of the Victorian Racing Club's Spring meeting took place today, in the the presence of a vast assemblage of visitors. The number of persons on the ground is believed to be the largest ever recorded. The following are the results:—• Mblboubne Cup, a handicap sweepstakes of 20 sovs each, 10 ft., or 5 sovs only if declared to the Seoretary of the., V.R.C., A.J.CB.A.J.C., or C.J.C., before 4 p.m. On Monday, 6th August, with 1000 added. The handioap weight of the winner of the A.J.C. or V.R.O. Derby to be not less than 7st 51b, and the winner of any handicap race of the value of 100 sovs after the declaration of the weights to carry 31b extra; of any such race of the vi'ue of 200 sovs, 51b extra ; of any such race of the value of 500 sovs 71b ex're. Penalties not cumulative. The second horse to receive 300 sovs, and the third 200 sovs out of the stakes. Two miles.
