RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

[Before J. Beswick, Esq., R.M., D. Barker, and D. Inwood, Eaqs., J.P.’s]. DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. John Lynch, charged with being drunk and disorderly, admitted the offence and was mulcted in the sum of ss. ABUSIVE LANGUAGE, George Ramsay was charged with having used abusive language to J. A. Young on the 20th mst, J. A. Young, of Winchester, stated that the accused came to his house on the 20th inst. and used abusive language. He went out of the house and used the language stated in the informatiou.
To George Ramsay : You made use of the language at a quarter to nine in the morning.
Accused denied that he was in the bouse at all at the hour mentioned and that he ever used bad language. fie was fined 20s, and bound over to keep the peace for six months in the sum of £25 and two sureties of £25 each. As the sureties were not forthcoming his own recognisance was taken, and on payment of the £1 he was discharged. TRESPASSING ON THE RAILWAY. James Grant was fined 20s for allowing his horse to trespass on the railway line. CIVIL CASES. E. 11. Brewer v. D. Quarry—Claim 12s 6d. Judgment by default for the amount claimed and costs. ESTREATED BOND. Robert Fenton who about a month ago was bound over to keep from drink having failed to do so had his bond estreated to the extent of £lO. The Court then rose.
