This Company is being formed with view of Assisting Farmers of the District to place their Grain and Produce on the market in a more favorable condition and with safer despatch than has hitherto been the case, and for this purpose it is proposed to Erect Large and Commodious Storage Accommodation at Winchester, connected with the main line with a siding. The accommodation is estimated to store 40,000 bushels of grain. This storage will enable farmers to deliver their grain previous to selling, as when the dressing machinery is taken advantage of, one month's storage is given Free to each parcel of grain. The Dressing Machinery proposed to be be introduced is one of the largest improved American Separators and Graders, which is satisfactorily guaranteed to dress and separate all kinds of grain to the best advantage of both Buyers and Sellers. Tt is also proposed to provide for Dry in;> Grain both while standing in the store and whilst under the process of Elevating and Dressing. After the Grain Season the store will be open for the Storing and Classing of Wool and other Farm Produce. A Coal Yard and a Weighbridge will be connected with the Store. The benefits to farmeis claimed by the undertaking are numerous. The following ate some ot the principal :—The Dressing and Classing of Grain suitable for Foreign Markets; storing grain for favorable sale ; quick despatch when sold, and avoidance of all chance of having the paresis rejected ; and in case of wet seasons the Grain will be Dried and made fit for shipment Seed parcels will be stored and specially dressed, and it will greatly facilitate exchauge of Seed, The Dressing of Grass Seed will also be undertaken by the Company. oc2
