AUCTIONEERS.’ REPORTS

CHRISTCHURCH. Messrs Robert Wilkin and Co. report : At the Addington Yards on Wednesday, 5386 sheep, 711 head of cattle, and 119 pigs were yarded for the week’s supply. We sold prime crossbreds at 19s 6d and 20s each ; two-tooths at 15s 6d and 15s 3d ; mixed crossbreds at 16s 6d ; store cattle, yearlings at 35s and 22s each.

Sheepskins, Eat, Hides and Tallow— At our usual weekly sale, held on Thurspay, we offered an average catalogue for sale, comprising 2873 sheepskins, 63 bags fat, 138 hides, 6 casks of tallow, and 53 bags pelts, We sold country crossbreds at 2s, 2s 7d, 3s 3d, 3s Bd, 4s, 4s 3d, to 4s lid ; country merinos, 2s, 2s 6d, 2s lOd, 3s sd, 3s 9d, 4s, 4s 5d ; butchers’ crossbreds, 4s 2d, 4s 7d, 4s lOd, 5s 4d to 5s 9d ; butchers’ merinos, 4s 6d, 4s lOd, ss, 5s 6d to 5s Sd, the latter price for Mr Bearing’s' skins. Fat and Tallow—There was, ■very keen competition for eveiy lot offered, which we cleared out at from 2d to 3d per lb for dry country, tat. Tallow, from 23s to 23s 6d. Pelts sold at from 3s 6d up to 4s 3d pei dozen. Hides—Wet, salted, 3|d green, 3|d ; cut and damaged,
