CHRISTCHURCH CORN EXCHANGE. The Corn Exchange report for the week ending Friday evening, the 12th inst. Business for the past week has been of a very unimportant character, transactions having been confined principally to local orders. With the exception of a slight advance in oats values remain as before. Wheat —Good milling samples, 3s to 4s per bushel, delivered m Christchurch; second quality, 3s 3d to 3s 6d ; chick wheat, 2s 3d to 2s 6d per bushel. Oats—Prime milling, 2s Id to 2s 2d per bushel, f.0.b.; bright short feed, Is lid to 2s ; inferior and discolored, Is 8d to Is lOd per bushel. Barley— First class malting, 4s 3d to 4s 6d per bushel; seed and second quality malting, 2s 4d to 3s 6d per bushel.
Grass Seed—Farmers’ samples, 8s 3d to 3s 9d per bushel ; machine dressed, 4s to 4s 3d per bushel; cocksfoot, to 4|d ger lb. Potatoes—A better enquiry at former rates—viz., 25s to 27s 6d per ton at country stations within eight miles. Cheese and Butter —4£d to 5d for the former, and 7d to 8d for the latter.
