He has a grand constitution, immense bone, and a splendid temper. Lord Loftus’ sire, Sir Colin Carapetl, was by the well-known pure-bred Clydesdale, King Fergus (imported), dam Scotland’s Pride (imported), a Pure-bred Clydesdale Mare, and winner of many prizes. Lord Loftus’ dam was the Purebred Clydesdale Mare , by Napoleon, grand, dam Jean, by Wellington. Lord Loftus is a sure foal-getter, some of the Finest Stock in the district being his progeny.
