Melbourne, Sept. 4. The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports of the local grain market as follows : The wheat market is firm and steady ; shipping parcels are worth 4s lOd to 4s lid ; fowls’ wheat, 3s 9d to 4s 4d ; malting barley dull at 5s to 6s 3d ; the market irregular. New Zealand oats are quieter; milling sorts, 3s 2d to 3s 3d ; feeding do, 2s lid to 3s 3d ; ditto under bond are slow of sale at 2s 2d to 2s 4cl.
