GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
In the Legislative Council last Friday, Mr Pharazyn again moved that no Honorarium should be allowed members after this session, but only four supported him, all the others opposing the motion.
In the House of Representatives on Friday, most of the sitting was taken up with the debate on the Native Land Amendment Bill, the second reading of which was carried.
The Hon. Major Atkinson, in moving that the House on rising adjourn to Monday at 2.30 p.ra.for Government business, said that the Government then proposed to go on with the Estimates, and continue at them throughout the week. There were many Bills on the Paper which would stand over till next session, aud the Government saw no reason why, if the members wished it, the session should not end this month. The House then adjourned.
